About Passville
Most apps built to "help you meet people" are really just dating apps wearing a different outfit. Passville isn't that. It's built around a simpler idea: a plan — something specific, happening soon, with room for anyone free to join. The goal is simple too — make new friends through something real you're actually doing, not a swipe.
Why we built this
Making plans with existing friends usually means waiting for a group chat to agree on something, which often means nothing happens at all. Meeting completely new people, meanwhile, is mostly funneled through dating apps — useless if you just want an activity partner for a trek, a cricket match, a movie, or chai. Passville exists for that specific, underserved middle: real activities, real strangers, no romantic framing required.
How it works
Post a plan — what you're doing, where, and when it ends. Anyone nearby who's free can request to join. You approve who comes. Once it's over, the plan disappears — no lingering group chats, no dead events cluttering a feed. If you meet someone you'd want to hang out with again, you can send them a Trusted Stranger request, and once they accept, you can message each other any time going forward.
Passville also has a live group chat room, open to every verified member — a shared space to talk and find people to plan something with, before a plan even exists. It works differently from a plan's own chat: messages there are temporary by design, so the room always feels current, not like scrolling through old history.
Built for India
Passville is built with an Indian city-first mindset — location filtering across Indian states and cities, WhatsApp sharing (because that's where people actually coordinate plans), and pricing and categories — chai, cricket, street food, festivals — that reflect how people here actually spend time together.
Safety, taken seriously
Meeting people you don't already know carries real risk, and we don't pretend otherwise. Passville is 18+ only, requires a verified email to post or join a plan, and gives every user the ability to block and report anyone at any time. Read our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy for the full picture — including the honest fact that no platform can vet who someone really is, so meeting in public, telling someone your plans, and trusting your own judgment still matter more than any feature we can build.
